Meet Brenda, The Vintage Collector with an Ever-Evolving Collection of Unique Finds!
1. Give us the elevator pitch. Who are you, and what treasure-filled path led you to vintage?
I’m Brenda and I sell vintage clothing and decor. I started collecting years ago when I inherited my mother’s English China collection. My first vintage booth space started in 2001. For years I concentrated on vintage clothing; now, I sell a diverse mix of vintage goods.
2. If someone walked into your booth for the first time, what would they find—and what might surprise them?
They would find a mix of vintage decor from many eras, along with vintage clothing and accessories. They may be surprised to find pieces of weird art whose beauty lies only in the eyes of the beholder.
3. Describe your booth style in three words. (No pressure, but we’ll judge them.)
Colorful, eclectic, and maximalism.
4. What are you always hunting for when you’re out picking, thrifting, or treasure hunting?
I am always on the hunt for the unusual or one-of-a-kind vintage finds.
5. What is your current favorite piece in your booth?
My current favorite piece in my booth are mid-century modern Faux Bois (Fauxwood) concrete planters.
6. What’s one thing people often overlook when shopping vintage?
People often overlook using an unusual “found object” as art.
7. If your booth had a theme song, what would it be?
Thrift Shop by Macklemore.
